Hi girls. How are you all? Summer is here and I am beating the heat with refreshed drinks, high buns, bold lippies and cotton fabrics. When it comes to summer season, I simply love cotton. It is comfortable, chic and refreshing. Among ethnic wear, cotton palazzos are my favourite these days. So I thought of writing a post on how to style cotton palazzos with long kurta.
Palazzos are such a comfortable piece of clothing. I wear them when I am travelling, or street shopping or at work. They look absolutely chic and stylish being super comfortable at the same time. I have these cotton chickenkari palazzos which I style with different long kurtas . I love chickenkari work. It looks so elegant and classy. White chickenkari fabrics are my favourite in summer. So coming to today’s post, I have created three looks of cotton palazzos with long kurta.
- Yellow slit kurta and palazzo
I just love this new kurta to my collection. It is the exact yellow color that I wanted so long for me as this orangish yellow color suits my skin tone so well while the true yellow makes me look dull.
This pure cotton kurta has beautiful white thread work and two slits at the front which I just love. I paired this with my cotton palazzo and peach juttis or mojaris.
For the hair, I just got a short haircut for summer with fringes and I am loving it 😀 😀 The layered haircut made my top bun more messy which I am loving currently . 😀 ( Let me know if you want to see a tutorial on how I do my top bun because it takes just 5 minute, looks super chic and is totally apt for summers 😀 )
For the accessories and makeup, I went with orange lips as I Love tangerines and oranges in summer keeping the eyes simple with daytime brown smokey eyes. I paired the look with these long empress type earrings which I got from street shopping (haul video coming soon ).
2. White chickenkari long A line kurta with palazzo and scarf :
I love white on white look with a pop of color. So, I created my signature style look of cotton palazzos with long kurta having chickenkari work. To add pop of color and make a style statement I added this beautiful orange cotton scarf and voila a modern ethnic look is ready 😀 I love giving a twist to the ethnic looks.
I paired the look with silver bangles, red ethnic earrings and peach juttis or mojaris.
Style tip: If you want to style a white on white look always break the monotony with a pop of color in the form of a statement neckpiece, a scarf or a jacket or anything that suits the look.
3. Black slit kurta with palazzo:
This is a long black slit kurta which I style with white palazzos. This was the look which I showed you last season (Modern ethnic look: Long kurta with palazzo) so I thought of including here again to give you more options of styling cotton palazzos with kurta. Black looks really nice with white. And one more thing which I want to highlight here is that palazzos look better with slit kurtas.
I styled this look with silver earrings, high bun, silver bangles and tan mojaris or juttis.
