Hi girls. How are you all? Sorry for no updates on blog and instagram since last 4 days as I was on a much needed holiday trip. Corporate life is so tiring that I need to escape to hills (being a pahadi by birth) once in few months to bring back the energy in me. So I am back rejuvenated and here’s today’s post on another look from the Indian wedding series (you can check out other Indian wedding looks). It’s Indian wedding series: Sangeet lehenga look.
Among all the ceremonies of Indian Weddings I like the sangeet ceremony most. There are many reasons of that. First and the main reason is that I love dancing 😀 . Ever since I was a child I loved music and dance. It’s in my blood. It brings out so much happiness in me. Another reason is that you can experiment with the outfits on sangeet night. There is no fuss of heavy jewellery or heavy outfits and you can do so much in sangeet ceremony from floral jewellery to artificial gajra, beaded bangles and much more.
So today I have created this look for all of you so that you can get some idea for a sangeet ceremony you are going to attend this wedding season. This beige lehenga is from the anarkali suit that I converted (You can read my earlier post on Convert anarkali suit to lehenga to see how I made this lehenga out of my anarkali suit). I paired it with a green brocade blouse and used pink chunni from my engagement lehenga (the one I showed you in the last post on Indian wedding series: Engagement lehenga look). I always use the heavy chunnis from my existing wardrobe in different ways to mix and match for creating different looks. I draped this chunni in the saree pallu style. It’s fuss free and you can dance comfortably in this chunni style.
For the accessories I went with the beads and ghungroo bangles. These are so budget bangles (just 100-150 INR a pair) and look so beautiful at sangeet events. They are mutlicolored and go with most of the outfits. I skipped the neckpiece as I paired the lehenga with big statement earrings.
For the makeup I did a silver glitter eye makeup (video tutorial coming up next for this makeup look) as you need your eyes to pop up at night. For the lipstick I went with hot pink lips matching my chunni. I did a high bun with this look so that no hair are coming on your face while dancing (hehe I really like to focus on dhinchak dancing with no hindrance. That’s me 😀 😀 ).
So girls this was the Indian wedding series: Sangeet lehenga look. I hope you liked it. Some more interesting posts coming up this week in continuation with our theme of the month i.e Indian wedding series. I hope you are enjoying this series. Please let me know your opinion and share what you like to wear on sangeet ceremonies. Meet you next on another interesting post. Bbye for now. Feel beautiful be stylish.
